1.1 Account Information

When you register a VoSonar account, we collect your email address and username. If you sign in via WeChat, we obtain your WeChat nickname and OpenID through the WeChat Open Platform.

1.2 License & Device Information

To verify license validity and enforce device concurrency limits, we collect a unique device identifier (machine code generated by the operating system), device platform (Windows/macOS/Linux), and device heartbeat timestamps. Device identifiers are used solely for license binding and contain no personally identifiable information.

1.3 Payment Information

When purchasing a subscription, Alipay or WeChat Pay processes your payment. We do not collect or store your full payment credentials such as card numbers or CVV. We retain only the order number, transaction ID, and payment status to complete order processing.

1.4 Usage Data

We may collect de-identified usage statistics, including transcription duration and feature usage frequency, for product improvement. This data is not linked to any personal identity.

VoSonar's core design principle is "zero voice data upload." All speech-to-text processing is done entirely on your local device, using on-device AI models in real time. We do not upload your voice recordings, transcriptions, or any audio data to our servers. Your voice data belongs to you and you alone.

The information we collect is used solely to: provide and maintain VoSonar services (account management, license verification, subscription management); process your orders and payments; send you service-related notifications (e.g., subscription expiration reminders); improve our products and services; comply with legal obligations.

Your personal information is stored on servers located in the People's Republic of China. We employ industry-standard encryption to protect your data: passwords are stored using bcrypt hashing, and license keys are stored as SHA-256 hashes only. We implement reasonable technical and administrative measures to prevent data breaches, loss, or misuse.

We use the following third-party services, whose privacy practices are beyond our control: Resend (transactional email), Alipay (payment processing), WeChat Open Platform (OAuth login), WeChat Pay (payment processing). We encourage you to review the privacy policies of these third parties. We do not sell your personal information to any third party.

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information; export a copy of your data; and delete your account at any time. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below. We will respond within 15 business days.

VoSonar is not intended for individuals under the age of 14. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected information from a minor, please contact us immediately for deletion.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. For material changes, we will notify you via website announcement or email. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
