Which platforms does VoSonar currently support?

The current launch target is the Windows desktop app. macOS, Linux, Android, and iOS are future tracks and should not be treated as released products.

What is the default hotkey?

There is no default dictation hotkey. Save one in the app, for example Ctrl+Alt+Space, or use the main page button.

Is voice data uploaded?

Local dictation and local media transcription run through on-device models. Network access is mainly used for account entitlement sync, device authorization, update checks, cloud translation, and AI summaries.

When using cloud translation or AI summaries, follow the page prompts for provider, Gateway, quota, and data-processing requirements.

Why are cloud translation or AI summaries unavailable?

Common causes include:

  • You are signed out or your session expired.
  • Your plan or quota is insufficient.
  • Gateway or provider credentials are not configured.
  • The upstream provider timed out or is unavailable.
  • The plan, provider, or Gateway capability is not enabled for that production scenario yet.

The app is designed to report explicit failures rather than pretend success.

Does VoSonar support multi-speaker meetings?

The current Meeting page supports local single-speaker meeting records, meeting history, AI summaries, note drafts, and Markdown export. Real-time speaker diarization, multi-person collaboration, and multi-speaker color labels are not complete yet.

Does VoSonar support TTS?

Local TTS synthesis/playback is explicitly unimplemented. Cloud TTS proxy and quota plumbing exist in backend contracts, but that does not mean TTS is externally validated or sellable.

Are payment, refunds, and invoices fully automated?

The website and member center are now running in production. Payment entrypoints are routed through Gateway, and the WeChat Pay member purchase flow now covers checkout creation, QR payment, webhook fulfillment, subscription refresh, and entitlement sync.

Refunds, invoices, and reconciliation should currently be handled through support/manual operations, not advertised as provider-automated closure.

Will Windows updates install silently?

No. Current updates are prompted: download the Windows Setup, verify SHA256, and let the user confirm installation.
